Two-Year Update Right to Read Inquiry Report
Two years ago, the Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC or “Commission”) released the Right to Read Inquiry Report. Since that time, significant strides have been taken, with many more underway. As I reflect on this progress, I extend heartfelt gratitude to the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), Dyslexia Canada, Decoding Dyslexia, and the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario for their collaboration. And I am grateful to the Ministry of Education for their responsiveness to the Inquiry's recommendations, demonstrating a commitment to positive change. The dedication of partners and stakeholders has been instrumental in advancing our collective mission.

Letter to Universities and Colleges on actions to address systemic discrimination
The OHRC wrote to colleges and universities, asking them to identify what actions their administrations are taking to provide equitable and inclusive learning environments, including efforts to investigate discrimination and harassment in a timely and effective way.

Update: the Right to Read inquiry
The OHRC has made solid progress on its Right to Read inquiry. The evidence-gathering phase is mostly complete, and the inquiry team is now analyzing the large amount of data, information and documents received and drafting a final report.
