The Commission’s policies and guidelines are developed through public consultation and extensive study of applicable Canadian and international human rights law. Members of the public can expect that the Commission will apply its policies and guidelines in the enforcement and interpretation of the Code. These Guidelines are not legal advice and should be read in conjunction with applicable decisions and the specific language of the Code.
