    On this 45th anniversary of the Ontario Human Rights Code, I am pleased to present the fourth edition of Human Rights Policy in Ontario, a publication first introduced in 1998. I am also pleased that Carswell, a respected publisher of employment and human rights related material, is our partner in putting together this latest compendium of the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s policies and guidelines.

    Toronto – La Commission ontarienne des droits de la personne a lancé aujourd’hui une nouvelle politique pour aider à protéger les droits des personnes trans et personnes à identités sexuelles variées. La Politique sur la prévention de la discrimination fondée sur l’identité sexuelle et l’expression de l’identité sexuelle examine les façons d’éliminer les obstacles et la discrimination.

    Commenting on her final report before stepping down as OHRC Chief Commissioner this November, Barbara Hall said, “Our annual report provides a snapshot of the Commission’s efforts over the last 12 months to create real change and advance human rights in Ontario, with the help of partners across the province.”
